Seniors: Voting for the Charity!

Sat Nov 12, 2005, 8:50 AM

Artists for Charity
aFc is an account maintained by the senior members of deviantart. The goal of aFc is to sell artwork as prints with all the proceeds going to selected charities.

Voting for the Charity!!
Yes, the time has come that we will finally vote on the charity.  Below you will find the charities listed.  To help inform you of what each is about, a short paragraph has been written for each; the information comes straight from the website.  If you would like to learn more about any of the charities, click on the name!

Voting will be open until November 18th, 2005, 11:59pm EST.  At this point, the votes will be counted and the winning charity will be announced on November 19th.  Let others know to vote!

Who can vote?  Seniors and Staff only please! All other votes will be discarded. Note your top choice (only one charity please) to `sanguru. (Please note that staff have been added to those who can vote!)

This is a really good idea, I'll have to make sure I buy something when the Red Cross or MSF comes up.

Hopefully not "WWF", they are whiney little bastards that sued the World Wrestling Federation for "stealing their acronyms".

Its about recognition. WWF has been in operation longer, and has more impact on the world in general than wrestling.. Its sad when you mention WWF to ayone under age 20, and wrestling comes to mind. Ensuring the environment is sustained and restored just doesn't seem high on anyone's priorities anymore :(

Myself - a vote for doctors without borders (msf). Although was a tough choice between it and CFIDS..

I just find it rather tedious and menial that they had to sue them over some acronyms, it's stupid. Anyways that just my opinion and not something that is highly important right now. I wish I could assist you guys more because I really believe in your cause, it's an awesome idea. I suppose in a million years when I'm senior worthy I'll be able to help you guys out more than just graphics wise.
